Money Tree!

I had to post this...but my husband will probably get me for doing it. This is what his brothers and sisters gave him for his birthday...yes, it's a money tree. The Tatum siblings do something special for each one when they turn '60' years old. This was one of the choices...Hum...I think I like this...do you think he will share?

Shhh...don't tell him I posted this...this is just between us...okay! Thanks for visiting...see you soon.

A Pink Mini...for a new baby!

I wanted to share this simply cute mini album that I made for one of my co-workers. Her newest granddaughter was born just a few weeks ago. Her name is Aubrey...a pretty name for a pretty girl.

The base of the album was made with heavy-duty watercolor paper, then score at 6 inches to make 4 panels. I tried to stick with just pink and white...but then added a little green because of the paper I used for the front and back covers. Adding butterflies to an album, whether for a boy or girl, is always a good embellishment. I also decided to add some small pearls to put some sparkle on the wings.

On the inside pages I added white flowers and pink buttons on one side and white flowers with green buttons on the other side. Lastly, The two middle panels were made into pockets, so I made two tags for grandma to write her first memories of baby Aubrey on. It's a fairly simply album as you will see in the photos below.

Whew, it's been along time...here is a card for starters!

Hello everyone, it's been a while...but I'm back and ready to show you some of the projects that I have been working on. Today I'll show my July card that I made for a card swap. I used my copic sketch markers and did a little coloring. I added faux stitching around the image in black and around the card in white using the Uni-ball Signo broad pen. This is the best white pen (in my opinion) on the market. The image is raised with foam tape. I added some twine around the bottom and tied a bow for added texture and to fill out the blank space at the bottom.

It's a simple 'thank you' card inspired by kwernerdesign 'Friday Focus' series that was posted on July 6, 2012. You make click here to visit her blog.

Thanks for visiting...check back tomorrow for more.
